A compilation of my work from the past few years. If I've learned anything, it's that character animation is something I am head over heels for. Most of my work is frame by frame using After Effects shapes and lines, but I've really loved doing FX animations in Adobe Animate. Looking forward to the next reel to see how much further I will grow as a designer.
As a Designer, I am continually growing and learning. I have always made it a point to seek out growth and my favorite learning experience lately has been through School of Motion's Explainer Camp. This course was a great opportunity to work from script to final product and really examine my workflow and client interfacing strategies. Here is my final piece, a 30 second ad-spot for fictional company Mombi.
I am an avid knitter and fiber enthusiast, so working with a talented independent yarn dyer to develop her logo and branding was a dream come true. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Anne of Bay Street Yarns to bring her personality and style into a logo that showed both her artistic flair and love for plant life. Included are images of the logo and branding on yarn labels and business cards.
For the holiday season I wanted to have some fun in ToonBoom Harmony 15 and Cinema 4D. This is my holiday homage to all cat-parents who love to annoy their adorable fur-babies. Characters were animated in ToonBoom Harmony 15, text was created and animated in Cinema 4D and everything was composited in After Effects CC.
This is a collection of some of my favorite animations that I've created while working as a Motion Designer at Scenario Learning. All were made using Adobe products, utilizing character rigging and infographic and character animation.
Ad for local business Queen City Jewelry and Pawn showcasing the ease and range of their custom engagement ring building process. This was a great opportunity to work with a wonderful local business and get a hand for retail motion design. Created with Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.
Kinetic Type example, all made in After Effects and Illustrator CC. This was a fun test to find the most efficient way to express a fun narrative in a short amount of time.
In Spring of 2014 I was fortunate to pursue an opportunity for an internship abroad in Singapore. I enjoyed my experience so much that I set aside free time to create a few short animations of some of my favorite memories from my time in Singapore.
After being assigned to recreate an opening title scene from a movie of my choice, I knew that I wanted to challenge myself to recreate the opening credits for The Triplets of Belleville. Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects I created a title that I felt best communicated the theme and beauty of such a wonderful movie.
